If you've ever been told, "You can't have it all," I challenge you to ask, "Why?".
Life is about achieving harmony, not finding the right formula for "balance." You're a unique, multifaceted individual. If you have multiple passions you want to pursue, I see you, and I'm here to help.
You're ambitious, accomplished, and maybe just a bit overwhelmed. You want more out of life, but you don't want more stress and the negativity that comes with it.
When everything can't take center stage, how do you determine when to give each thing its shining moment? And how can you ensure all those pieces that make you unique are working in sync?
Confirm what activities bring you joy
Determine what environments help you thrive
Tap into your natural talents
Once you understand what drives you and how to integrate
your many parts, you'll be on your way
If you're like me, you enjoy exploring and excelling at several different things. For multi-hyphenate women like us, however, sometimes it feels like time and validation for our passions run out, risking running us into the ground.
While advancing to a senior role in my 9-to-5 government job, I was also running a thriving commercial photography business. While working as an assistant college professor, I launched a successful jewelry design business. While completing a research postdoctoral fellowship, I founded a busy consulting business.
Yet, eventually I felt stressed out, burned out, and like I wasn't making time for other things that truly mattered to me. Things like nurturing personal relationships, pursuing hobbies that intrigue me, and taking care of my physical health and mental well-being. It wasn't until I realized that I needed to pivot from the idea of achieving “balance” between two or three things to the idea of finding harmony amongst my many interests that things changed.
My philosophy is that you can only ever achieve fulfillment when you examine the restrictions you feel you're living under and give yourself permission to set them aside in order to pursue your passions.
I share your desire to find something more
the struggle is real...
I've always been one to follow my passions and make it work through a mixture of determination, lessons learned, and a solid foundation of education and experience. In addition to being a Certified Professional Coach and Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Howard University, a M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan, and an M.S. in Biostatistics from Columbia University. Those achievements don't define me more than the other things I've accomplished in my career, but they do differentiate me and what I bring to the table in the coaching work I do with you.
My experience can smooth the way for your own transformation...
